Nieves Impresses at the NHL Scouting Combine

Kent School hockey forward Cristoval “Boo” Nieves turned in an impressive performance at the 2012 NHL Scouting Combine with top 10 finishes in seven categories:

Nieves, a native of Baldwinsville, NY, finished with a 7-32-39 line in 26 games for Kent this season.  He is slated to join the University of Michigan hockey team this fall (2012).


OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

  • Indiana Ice forward Robbie Baillargeon (Enfield, CT) placed second in the Hand-Eye Coordination test with a score of 22.2.
  • Former Salisbury goaltender (and newly minted Providence College recruit) Jon Gillies had the second longest wingspan, coming in at 80.25 inches.
