Just eight days after undergoing an emergency appendectomy, New Canaan native Max Pacioretty was back in the lineup on Sunday for the Montreal Canadiens and recorded an assist on David Desharnais’ game-winning goal against the Ottawa Senators.

Anaheim Ducks forward Nick Bonino (Farmington, CT/Farmington HS/Avon Old Farms) posted his first NHL hat trick against the LA Kings and Hamden native Jon Quick.

It’s been a whirlwind two weeks for Mark Arcobello (Milford, CT/Fairfield Prep/Salisbury/Yale). After being selected as a starter in the 2013 AHL All-Star Game and responding with a three-point performance in helping to lead the West to a 7-6 win, he received his first call-up to the NHL by the Edmonton Oilers.  Congratulations, Mark!

R.J. Gates (Plainville, CT) scored the game-winner with 1:55 remaining as the “visiting” Pennsylvania Blues defeated the Danbury Whalers 5-3 on 2/2/13.  Former Ridgefield High School/South Kent School standout Tyler Scott (Ridgefield, CT) had 55 saves in net for the Blues while CCSU alum Joe Dabkowski (Glastonbury, CT) finished with 2 assists.

Former Quinnipiac forward Brandon Wong is averaging a point-per-game for the ECHL’s Greenville Road Warriors.
