Notre Dame-West Haven Green Knights Surging

It is likely a rebuilding year with the loss of 10 players to graduation…”

The above quote, regarding the Notre-Dame West Haven boy’s hockey team, is from the high school hockey previews in the New Haven Register this past December.  Rebuilding, eh?  Through 10 games so far this season the Green Knights have posted an 8-2-0 record, qualifying them for the state tournament – with 10 games still to play.

Along the way, Notre Dame has outscored its opponents 38-13.  Their only losses came at the hands of New Canaan in the first game of the year (3-0) and in overtime to perennial power Fairfield Prep (3-2).

Do they have what it takes to make a run at the D1 CT Hockey championship?  Time will tell.
