After 5+ years of bouncing around the ECHL and AHL, Hugh Jessiman (Darien, Brunswick School) got his first taste of the NHL. Jessiman, a former first-round pick of the New York Rangers, made his NHL debut for the Florida Panthers this past Sunday (2/27) against the New Jersey Devils. Congrats, Hugh!

Adding another twist to what has been a whirlwind few weeks, Jared DeMichiel (Avon, Avon Old Farms) got an emergency “call up” of sorts suiting up for practice with the Washington Capitals on 2/28 after an apparent injury to Semyon Varlamov.

After starting the year in the ECHL, defenseman Matt Generous (Cheshire) has made the most of a mid-season promotion to the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL.
