Connecticut natives Jaime Sifers (Stratford, CT/Fairfield Prep/Taft) and Mike Paliotta (Westport, CT/Choate) finished the 2015-2016 season as AHL champions, as they helped lead the Lake Erie Monsters to a Calder Cup Title. Lake Erie swept Hershey in four games, capping off the series with an exciting 1-0 OT win in game four.

Sifers, a 10 year veteran of the pro ranks, is in his first year with the Monsters. He finished the season with a 5-14-19 line over 67 games.

A 2011 draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks, Paliotta is in his first full season as a pro, after playing four seasons at University of Vermont. Earlier this season, he had a one-game call-up to the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL.
