According to the Meriden Record-Journal, the Lyman Hall boy’s ice hockey team is considering a co-op with Haddam-Killingworth – a school that currently does not have an ice hockey program.
Lyman Hall, faced with a drop in numbers over the past few seasons, has been seeking a co-op partner since the end of the 2011-2012 season. A logical choice seemed to be cross-town rival Sheehan, but the Titans apparently declined that offer. Other schools mentioned as potential co-op partners in recent months included Daniel Hand, which graduated 10 seniors in 2012, and Maloney High School in Meriden, but neither of those options panned out.
As of this year, Lyman Hall will officially be dropping down from division 2 to division 3.
