Biega Named Hockey Captain at Merrimack

Former Salisbury hockey standout Marc BiegaFormer Salisbury School ice hockey standout Marc Biega was recently named an assistant captain for the Merrimack College men’s ice hockey team. Biega, a sophomore defenseman, has appeared in 63 games for the Warriors with a 4-15-19 scoring line during that period.

Biega spent two seasons at Salisbury, following in the footsteps of older brothers Danny, Alex, and Michael, who all matriculated at Harvard and played on their ice hockey team. In 2012, Marc was named to the 2012 New England Prep Scholl Hockey All-Star Team.

After graduating, he spent two seasons playing junior hockey for the Coquitlam Express of the BCHL before signing on with Merrimack for the 2014-2015 season.
